Negative: We stayed Friday to sunday. On Monday I received a text message to say thanks for leaving the house in great condition. Then on Tuesday a woman calls me saying there is damage to the property. She said about the holes in the wall from the darts. If that's the case don't have a dart board in a kids games room! She also blamed us for a leak in the bathroom. I don't agree with this. She sent me a picture of yellowing on the ceiling. Looks like an old dried up leak. She tried to blame us for the hatch being open to the attic, (there wasn't one there to begin with) The house is very old, still could have done with a proper clean. Also when we arrived the dishwasher was loaded with dirty dishes. Hardly enough plates or cutlery in the place. Hot tub wasn't hot, I had to keep messaging a women who was great. She said she couldn't get there due to the A1 being closed. So asked me to fill up hot water from the kettle. You can imagine this took me about 2 hours to do. Granted they said we could stay an extra night. We didn't and just checked out late. There was rubbish left from previous guests outside the front of the house. They contacted booking.com requesting me to pay £310 for damages. I don't a few holes in the wall will cost £310! I even offered for myself to go and fill the wall for them. I booked with booking.con for years. I've never had anyone call me saying I've left the place in such a state. I feel these guys have tried to make me pay for someone else's damages. I feel upset that I've had to go through this. Everything she said on the phone she wasn't really able to back anything she said. When I got upset she said I will get back to with a full report. Still waiting for this!
