Positive: This family-run hotel is an absoulte gem that deserves the highest rating! The owners are the most welcoming hosts you will ever meet :) They did personally introduce us to the local culture, shared the fascinating history of the hotel, and recommended the best sights. We really felt like a part of the family during our stay, and did even get to know their daughter and her Tai Chi master! A clear highlight was a walk with their 3-year dog <3 The location is perfect: a beautiful 10min walk to Hongcun village along a beautiful stone path through the countryside; you can take a DiDi, but you shouldn't:) The path goes through some beautiful rice fields with buffalo, goats and chickens and other animals along the road. There is also a lovely bookstore selling local ricewine nearby. The walk is an experience in itself.
