25 St Georges Quay is a charming period apartment housed on the top two floors of a Grade II listed building, dating from the 1750s on Lancaster's historic quayside, overlooking the River Lune and yes, there's free parking, too. As soon as you enter the hall, you'll notice the solid wooden floors have shifted slightly over the years, adding to the building's quirky and creaky character. The bedrooms are here, accessed directly from the hall. The rear south-facing bedroom overlooks Quay Meadow, whilst the front bedroom boasts stunning river views through its Georgian windows. The modern bathroom's on this floor, too. Watch your head as you climb the stairs and you'll come up into the living room. Roughly-hewn wooden beams line the high V-shaped ceiling. This was once the home of one of Lancaster's leading 18th Century merchants. With daylight streaming into the living room through the generous Velux windows in the roof, what better place to sit and enjoy the views. The newly fitted kitchen is accessed directly from the living room. There's free, unlimited, on-street parking just 1min away as well as a Pay and Display right behind the property.
