5 Bedroom Cottage in Llangelynin, Ty'n-y-groes

Conwy 3.6 miles. Located in the quieter western side of the Conwy Valley, Preswylfa is a beautiful, detached holiday home in Hen Efail, Tyn-y-groes near Conwy. This dog-friendly property is ideal for extended family gatherings, providing beautiful countryside views, off-road parking for four cars, an enclosed garden with hot tub, and ground-floor living for you and your loved ones to explore North Wales with ease. Stepping inside, you'll find an entrance hallway with a piano and space to leave your boots, before making yourself at home in the living/dining room. You can relax here by the woodburning stove set in a stone inglenook, whilst the family chef rustles up dinner in the kitchen where contemporary meets classic country style. The ground floor also has a games room, sure to please younger guests, whilst the first-floor sitting room is perfect for family movie nights and admiring the mountain views from the balcony. On summer evenings, children can play in the enclosed garden area with a Wendy House, whilst you unwind in the sheltered hot tub. A second, raised garden area has a picnic bench and barbecue to dine alfresco as the sun sets over Conwy Valley. Completing this family-friendly holiday home are five bedrooms; a ground-floor super-king-size with access to a shower room, along with a super-king-size with en-suite and TV, king-size, double, and twin on the first floor. The beautifully appointed family bathroom has a freestanding, roll-top bath for all guests to refresh after the day's adventures. Less than a mile away, you'll find the Groes Inn, a historic 500-year-old pub and the oldest licensed pub in Wales. Start your holiday by exploring Conwy with its majestic 13th-century castle, the 16th-century Plas Mawr residence, traditional bakeries and coffee shops, and the dog-friendly Conwy Morfa Beach. Further along the coast, you'll find Llandudno with the Great Orme Mines, Colwyn Bay, and Welsh Mountain Zoo, whilst an abundance of outdoor adventures awaits in Snowdonia National Park. The brilliant Zip World Llechwedd set in an ancient quarry, and scenic hikes to the top of Snowdon Peak are just some of the family-friendly adventures to choose from. Choose Preswylfa for an unforgettable holiday in North Wales.
Conwy, a World Heritage Site, is known for its history and architecture, but it's also a bustling town. Along with festivals, fairs, musical recitals, galleries, and historical attractions, there are shops, restaurants, and hotels. Conwy Castle was built for King Edward I between 1283 and 1287 to Master James of St. George's design. The narrow rocky outcrop on which the castle stands may have influenced its elongated shape with two barbicans, eight massive towers, and a bow-shaped hall. The town is proud of its historic traditions and celebrates them with annual festivals, events, and fairs, such as the Honey fair, Seed fair, and Gwledd Conwy Feast in October, along with other musical events. Conwy is a great base for exploring Snowdonia National Park, unspoiled beaches, and the local scenery. Surf Snowdonia is six miles away and Llechwedd Slate Caverns has Europe's longest zip line.
