Summary: I’m sure the hotel will be relaxing again when the construction work is finished. Also there is vermin in the main building which needs to be dealt with, we regularly saw and heard mice running around the reception area including into the kitchen area. The overall lodge is nice, with lush green planting around the site, the room spacious with a good view over the countryside and feels luxurious. The free bicycles are handy, although could do with some TLC. Breakfast was nice, especially the Vietnamese beef noodle bowl and the fresh fruit. The atmosphere is a bit dead, especially in the evening when the lights were off and things shut up at around 9pm at the bar. Staff were very friendly and attentive.
