Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: We had a wonderful stay and couldn’t have asked for more. The host, Vicky, was friendly and genuinely cared about making sure guests had a lovely experience. The property was spotlessly clean and very cosy , full of thoughtful extra touches — arriving to a lit Christmas tree, mince pies, milk, tea and coffee, and even a surprise bottle of fizz in the fridge made us feel instantly welcome. The board games were a lovely touch, perfect for a cosy evening in. The kitchen was extremely well equipped, with everything you could possibly need. The bathroom had toiletries, which was a nice touch. The bedrooms were cosy and we had a lovey night’s sleep, and the Hugh bath was a highlight. We love visiting Guisborough as it’s perfectly located for exploring places like Saltburn, Whitby, Staithes and Yarm. Although we didn’t use it, having a bus stop right outside was very convenient. The high street location was fantastic — everything was right on the doorstep. Having a private parking space was a real bonus. Guisborough has an abundance of lovely independent restaurants and wine bars. We ate at Greedy Ted’s, which was amazing with a great atmosphere. It was also great having M&S Food Hall within walking distance and Morrisons nearby on the high street. We would not hesitate to stay here again and will definitely be back.
