Summary: While the picture online looks warm and inviting, the reality is more drab. I had to go back to the gate in the rain to get security to let me into the block. When Vando arrived he was helpful, but I expected there might have been a tea bag and biscuit for me, but no. It was an uninspiring start to our four night stay. The apartment is more suited to long term stays when you can take time to get your own supplies and set up the kitchen with the things which were lacking. Bowls, plates, etc. We made do, eating cereal out of mugs for example. We didn't try cooking. On the other hand, there was plenty of room for our family of four, and everything worked, like air-con, wi-fi and hot water. There were supermarkets and restaurants nearby, and the subway. And Vando, our contact, was very attentive and helpful with things to do in Shanghai and addresses, and he did offer to supply anything which was lacking.
