A cosy traditional style cottage in a rural peaceful setting overlooking a picturesque lake. Ideal for couples and families looking for a relaxing holiday and as a great base to explore the Norfolk Broads, countryside, seaside towns and beaches.
You will find plenty of wildlife to enjoy around the lake and the cottage. A short stroll from the cottage is access to Weavers Way (a dismantled national railway footpath).
Lovely sandy beaches at Sea Palling, Happisburg and Mundesley all only a short drive away. The nearby town of Stalham has all the essential amenities like newsagents, local shops, banks, chemist, takeaways, pubs, and a Tesco with fuel garage.
Other popular villages and towns like Horning, Wroxham (for the Broads, boat trips and day boat hire), North Walsham, Cromer and Great Yarmouth, are within easy reach. The city of Norwich is a great place for shopping and sightseeing and is only a 30 min drive away. There are several National Trust properties within easy reach.
The cottage has an open plan ground floor. A comfortable lounge area, with flatscreen TV, DVD and video player, and radio (a library of videos, CDs and books are provided). The kitchen and dining area are well equipped with cooker, microwave and fridge freezer. Sliding patio doors from the lounge open onto a private patio area overlooking the lake. Summary: The property is in a lovely location providing a relaxing stay in the countryside overlooking a small pool frequented by wildlife. The is plenty of space for 4 people and all amenities provided for your stay. It is made clear that there is no WiFi at the property, but also the phone signal is quite variable, so just be prepared for this when staying at the house. There is an excellent library of VHS and DVDs to watch! We really enjoyed our visit, just one or two little details would make it excellent such as providing larger towels. We would recommend this as a great property from which to explore the area.
