Summary: If you love walking, this is a fantastic location! Great walking routes were provided in the house which we were very grateful for. The house suffers from damp - and given the bogginess of the terrain and changeable weather that's not surprising - and we were glad we thought to bring our own fuel for the two log burners. We enjoyed playing cards, cosy in the kitchen in the evenings. The kitchen was well equipped and really well stocked with essentials, which we appreciated. The Dartmoor Inn, a stroll away, is a meat eaters' paradise and we enjoyed a generously portioned cream tea at the Two Bridges. The pasties at Lydford Farm Shop are delicious, too!
