Positive: The consideration for a different unit from building D to Building A that was more suitable and a bit cleaner. The convenient location to the surrounding areas that included Chiang Mai Bangkok Hospital and The Big C Market. The convenience of a washer and meshed screen on the balcony the washer occupied that allowed hanging clothes to dry without the pigeon poop, the fridge, stove top, tea kettle, rice cooker, decent sized shower and separate size-able soaking tub, Jack & Jill bathroom access including the bathroom entry doors were both authentically pleasing. The complimentary slippers were a thoughtful touch and the ONE clean NEW white bath towel. The view of the field and the mountains. The blackout curtains, soft lighting, the Air Con worked nicely and the easy Noon-1pm checkout. The host texted me "thank you so much" after I sent her a video upon checkout of me leaving the unit in building A clean, all linens, towels and floor mat washed & hung out to dry and the key in the requested drop off location.
Negative: The initial unit in Building "D" was absolutely unsanitary. The very strong overwhelming sewage smell under the kitchen sink, the filthy tiny shower stall, the orange water that initially ran from the bathroom sink upon walk-thru, the stained and dirty bed linens, the sewer smell thru-out the building and the dingy feel of the building and elevator in Building D. The second alternative unit in building "A" had a strong sewage smell on the main floor, the mildew odor of the washer, the soap scum mildew shower, the dirt stained curtains, the dirty furniture/sofa & ottoman in the living room, the broken arm chair in the living room, the slight undertone attitude of the host when issues were pointed out, the slightly overpriced cost for the stay, (the additional cost incurred for me to purchase packs of baking soda & gallon of vinegar to clean and sanitize the shower stall soap scum & mold, mildewed washer, tarnished tea kettle and the fridge was not truly clean but it wasn't filthy). The musty pillows, the 2 out of 3 musty towels. The dirty for mat. The pigeon poop stained balcony next to the master bedroom, the water pressure in the shower was a little low and sometimes the hot water was barely luke warm in the shower on 3 nights. The slightly dingy elevator in building A.
